A wholly unique development of five mews houses, transformed from the long-forgotten Sunlight Laundry in the centre of Fulham. We were instructed to fit-out and furnish the three-bedroom show home including the walled garden and roof terrace.

Aiming for the luxury home market, Sunlight Mews needed to be fitted out to a high specification. The flooring and accompanying woodwork are a rich dark walnut, with soft, muted rugs over the open plan ground floor. Sofas were commissioned and two mid-century modern armchairs were reupholstered to give the communal areas a timeless quality.  We used wallpapers and silk wall coverings to enhance the huge, double height reception area and break up the large expanse of walls.  A bespoke desk and shelving were commissioned for the study from a young, local carpenter, in solid walnut to complement the floors.

The kitchen is light and contemporary with a thin ceramic stone worktop and flush units. All of the lighting is modern but understated to emphasise the elegance of the property.  We selected warm, neutral curtains and bedding to maintain the calm atmosphere, with the occasional pop of colour from cushions and artwork to create interest. Home technology is a big selling point with this property. It is fitted with Lutron lighting, security, underfloor heating and whole house ventilation and heat recovery systems, controlled from single access points
