Tamara Tymovski

Atelier Tymovski

Profile

Tamara’s approach to design has been largely shaped by her former career in fashion and her passion for travel and art. Her interiors are exuberant yet relaxing, comfortable yet glamorous. In her designs Tamara uses her fashion-trained eye to boldly mix colours, textures and patterns, contemporary and vintage furnishings from different decades, resulting in spaces that perfectly balance luxury with informality. Her portfolio is as eclectic as her style and shows her ability to adapt design vision to her clients’ individual aesthetic and practical needs. Tamara's passion for interiors started in her teens with the first project being her parent’s house at just 17, but it wasn’t until her first success with property development, that she was persuaded to change her career and embarked on interior & spatial design studies at Chelsea College of Art in 2008.  2 days after finishing the course, she got her first project. To hone her skills she later took a stint working at the noted designer Elaine Williams of Interior Couture, then Stephen Ryan Design in Notting Hill and luxury bespoke kitchen company Eggersmann in Chelsea, where she has learnt the alchemy of luxury kitchen design. As work started flooding in 2012, Atelier Tymovski was finally established.
Over the years Tamara has delivered a diverse projects portfolio, ranging from luxury residences, local restaurants, to an award-winning hotel in Sri Lanka. With the revolution in travel brought about by Airbnb, she has developed a specific expertise in transforming apartments into unforgettable places to stay and she does that with a Midas touch, with her growing portfolio of booked up holiday let properties, both her own and for overseas clients.
