When our clients approached us, this was a very much loved but very much lived in house. Having seen their three boys grow up there, they were keen that it should now have a more sophisticated atmosphere. Loving colour and pattern, they were very receptive to suggestions of opening up the hallway, introducing a boldly printed wallpaper to lighten up the entrance into their home. One of the very talented carpenters that we work with created a hidden bank of storage in the dressing room, behind wallpapered doors.
