Watermeadow Grange

Watermeadow Grange is based in the historic town of Topsham, Exeter, and is a brand-new Cinnamon Luxury Care home that is in a class of its own. It offers residents person-centred residential care and dementia care within exquisite surroundings. It also offers respite and convalescent care, with short-stays available to help families and carers when looking after a loved one.

Watermeadow Grange is a purpose-built development offering 77 spacious en-suite bedrooms, luxurious lounges, private dining rooms, a stylish café bar, a cinema and a professional hair and beauty salon. Cinnamon Luxury Care aims to provide a magnificent care home that offers a special place where residents can live enjoyable and fulfilling lives.

Also available are 9 luxury care suites which are an ideal choice for couples or those looking for greater space and independence. Each fully furnished suite comprises an en-suite bedroom, a charming lounge, and a kitchenette.

All bedrooms, suites, lounges, corridors, and communal areas such as the bar and cinema room required carpeting that would not only offer high-performance features but would also offer various designs and colours to meet the needs and requirements of all the residents, including those living with dementia.

Having worked with Catalyst Interiors on several care homes within the group, Cinnamon turned to them once again to deliver schemes that would achieve a luxury look and feel but also provide an interior that could reflect the needs of all the residents.

Jade Mannion, one of Catalyst’s interior designers, specified several ranges including Equinox Evolve, which has been approved for use in dementia-inclusive interiors by Stirling Universities DSDC, plus a few other ranges from the Evolution Collection, including Forest, Geo Form, Manhattan, and Origin to bring together these exquisite schemes.

Everything about Watermeadow Grange transcends expectations with stylish décor and furnishings that complement the lavish living spaces and luxury interiors, whilst providing a caring home for all residents.

Cinnamon required carpets that had been engineered to perform in demanding environments and provide the following key features:

• Extreme durability– The Evolution Collection is certified to British Standard classification 33 “Heavy Commercial Use” enabling it to withstand high volumes of foot and wheeled traffic and intense commercial cleaning. Making the ranges ideal for corridors and communal areas.

• Antimicrobial yarn treatment– Both of the Collections have been developed to include Bi-Ome®, an innovative antimicrobial treatment that is designed to kill harmful bacteria including those that can cause MRSA and C. Diff.

• Spill safe– All of the selected carpets have an integral protective membrane, preventing liquid spills from penetrating through to the subfloor, reducing contamination, fungal growth, and unpleasant odours.

• Appearance Retention– Manufactured using solution dyed Nylon and Polypropylene yarns, both the Evolution and Equinox Collection offer a locked-in colourfast system that ensures superior colour and light-fastness even when subject to harsh cleaning chemicals.

• Naturally Sound absorbent– danfloor carpets have great sound absorption qualities, achieving more than 28dB reduction in sound impact levels, which helps to create a “therapeutic environment” in which people can relax and communicate effectively.

• DSDC Approved Colours – Stirling University has reviewed several of our ranges and has awarded all colours from the Equinox Evolve as suitable for use within dementia design.
