René Dekker had previously worked on this duplex penthouse (14th and 15th floor) in west London when the clients originally purchased the property.  At that time the apartment had already been rationalised into the various spaces and the task fell on the designer to create a mini ‘boutique hotel’ for the family.  Rooms were individually designed with textures and finishes the order of the day; bespoke sofas and rugs were created to complete the scheme.  In order to keep the apartment in its pristine condition, the studio was asked by the clients to oversee a cosmetic refurbishment which included decorations throughout, new lighting, the addition of a guest WC as well as the upgrading of some of the soft furnishings and a new sofa in the Family room.  On the roof terrace we refurbished the surround to the Jacuzzi, upgraded the timber decking and ordered brand new outdoor furniture.
