Wilton House - custom width flatweave stair runner

A classic and timeless design, Trent has been a signature of the Roger Oates collection since 2001. Shown here in a wide custom width for a project at Wilton House, the runner has been expertly fitted across five staircases within the historic estate, seamlessly installed on both straight and winding stone steps.

Respecting the property's architectural and interior heritage was central to the project. Trent Beaver, woven to a bespoke width, proved the ideal choice for this remarkable setting. Its rich brown double-stripe border frames a delicate interplay of herringbone and rib, punctuated by fine pinstripes. The result is a design that introduces a modern sensibility while remaining sympathetic to the classical surroundings.

Complementing Trent, the Ashby design features a refined herringbone ground and subtle pinstripe and is used elsewhere in the house, making it particularly well suited to wall-to-wall installations.

Every Roger Oates flatweave runner is woven in the UK on traditional Hattersley looms using 100% wool. The natural selvedge edge makes each piece ideal for staircases and area rugs, individual widths can be joined to create bespoke rugs of any size or used for wall-to-wall flooring.
