ABOUT

Chloe Kempster is a leading UK furniture artist based in Leicestershire. She has been producing an innovative range of hand-painted vintage furniture and accessories since 2011, creating highly original collections as well as working on commissions for UK and overseas clients. 

Combining her advanced upcycling skills with a Fine Art background, Chloe produces uniquely complementary painterly pieces, each one a bespoke item of functional art destined to become an heirloom of the future. Whether in soft pastels or beautifully bold brights, her products partner style with sustainability, offering clients access to a more environmentally-focused lifestyle without any loss of aesthetic pleasure. 

Her love of abstract and impressionist art together with the natural world is reflected on the surfaces of the furniture she uses as a canvas. From sideboards to bookcases, side tables to drawer units, Chloe perfectly adapts her style to suit each piece. From highly contemporary imagery reminiscent of Pollock or Rothko to subtler, modern country designs echoing the visions of Monet and Cezanne, each Chloe Kempster Design product is a masterpiece of originality and craftsmanship. And never afraid to push boundaries, she will often incorporate unusual materials into her work such as neon perspex and coloured glass, elevating her designs to a completely new level. Appearing regularly on television and in the media, Chloe has exhibited at Clerkenwell Design Week, is a Domestika tutor, has her own Daydream Apothecary paint range and collaborates with reputable interiors brands including Farrow & Ball and Vinterior.
