Architectural Acoustic Timber Doors

Case Study 2: Architectural Acoustic Timber Doors

  • Project Title: Bespoke Acoustic Timber Double-Doors for Executive Corporate Office
  • Division: Mute Soundproofing®

The Challenge

A private executive office for a CEO located in London’s exclusive Mayfair required high-performance sound isolation to ensure absolute confidentiality during meetings. The core challenge was implementing a highly effective acoustic barrier without disrupting the existing interior architecture. The new system needed to perfectly mirror the ornate, traditional architectural detailing of the original double-doors.

The Solution

Mute Soundproofing® designed, engineered, and installed a bespoke set of premium acoustic timber double-doors. The doors were meticulously crafted to match the exact dimensions and historic panel configurations of the property's original doors. Finished with a high-end, smooth spray coating, the assembly incorporated professional acoustic cores and heavy-duty perimeter seals to block voice transmission effectively.

The Design Outcome

The project successfully delivered a secure, quiet, and confidential working environment for executive operations. By blending advanced noise mitigation seamlessly into the room's heritage aesthetics, the installation maintained the sophisticated architectural character of the Mayfair workspace.
