Mia Karlsson Interior Design project

Belsize Park apartment

The brief: Merging the client’s extensive collection of designer furniture, fittings and bold artwork to create a charming and sophisticated apartment, for the client and her young daughter, through all aspects of renovation.

The colour scheme was clearly defined at the start of the project with a focus on a palette of soft pinks, blues and lavenders. The client loved the idea of a bold, statement kitchen. Petrol blue provided the perfect accent colour. The colour palette and space helped to define the scheme, requiring just a touch of femininity to tie it all together.

The circular shapes and curved wall softened the master en-suite; whilst the bold Jean Paul Gautier floral wallcovering highlighted the luxurious bath and linked the softer palette of colours from the master bedroom and dressing room. The strong petrol blue kitchen provided a solid backdrop for the dining and entertainment areas letting the individual pieces stand out.
