Bespoke Hallway Console Table - For Benson Cole Studio, Islington Project
Created for an Islington residential project by Benson Cole Studio, this bespoke hallway console was designed to provide practical storage while making a confident first impression.
The console features a slim profile suited to the proportions of the hallway, with softly rounded ends, elegant tapered legs and discreet integrated drawer storage. Its deep green, high-gloss lacquer gives the piece a rich, reflective finish, contrasting beautifully with the natural oak flooring and neutral walls.
The workshop photographs show the construction process behind the finished piece, from forming the curved timber framework and refining the proportions to applying the lacquered finish. Particular attention was given to the rounded edges, clean drawer lines and consistency of colour across every surface.
Installed beneath the rosy bronze painted Madison mirror by Monica Armani for B&B Italia , the console feels completely at home within the interior. It is a good example of how bespoke furniture can answer a very specific brief, fitting the available space precisely while contributing something distinctive to the overall scheme.
