Restoration and remodelling of open plan kitchen/ dining

Interior design in this grade II listed property in Wilmslow was centered on striking a perfect balance of old and new. Respecting the years 1848 to 2021 in an open-plan kitchen/dining space was achieved through the thoughtful selection of materials and careful placement of architectural lighting.

Being passionate cooks, they wanted a clearly defined contemporary kitchen and dining areas that would allow for easy and sociable entertaining. Within a pure white scheme, a goal post has been created for the row of back units so that the cabinets sit flush and the island unit features a waterfall worktop with a centred oven tower and induction hob. The island and coffee station worktops are Calacatta quartz, perfect for acquiring the natural beauty of marble without any of the disadvantages. The matt surface of the chevron porcelain tile in wood maintains its original simplicity and its vibrant beauty, harnessing nature, adds depth to the home.
