Contemporary Apartment, Kensington

This contemporary flat was decorated from scratch taking the colours from the carpet which is one of Melissa Wyndham's designs, which incorporates reds and beiges and including the clients own collection of Chinese works of art.

The decoration was kept simple, because of the low ceilings, using plain colours and bringing in patten in the decorative cushions. A Carew Jones Perspex coffee table was used, so as not to detract from the colours of the carpet, in keeping with the contemporary feel. This was also expressed in the plain nickel curtain poles and white linen curtains.
