COUELLE HOUSE IN SOUTH OF FRANCE

Miriam Frowein has breathed new life into a rare architectural jewel: a historic home by the visionary French architect Jacques Couelle. The house, originally conceived in the 1960s, embodies Couelle’s signature biomorphic language – cave-like plaster walls, fluid volumes, and windows framing the landscape like living paintings. Commissioned by a German client with a deep appreciation for art and craftsmanship, Miriam Frowein Interiors was entrusted with the delicate mission of honouring Couelle’s spirit while opening the space to a contemporary sensibility.
