This house was a new-build project, and the house is in a wonderful position overlooking the sea on the West coast of Ireland.   Designed to look unobtrusive within its surroundings, it is deceptively spacious inside, with six bedrooms – the largest bedroom having four beds for ideal for children.  The house is designed to be a comfortable and relaxing family home, and would also be an idyllic place for family summer holidays.

The interior is light and spacious, with a double height Kitchen which is perfect for entertaining large numbers in an informal way.

The palette of colours are pale greens, pale blues and greys – these colours reflect the light from the sea, and are counterbalanced with splashes of red and terracotta.  The decoration has been kept simple – plains, stripes and checks have been used.  Interesting pottery  – some of which was bought at an Antiques fair in Bath -  prints found in Dublin, and other works of art add warmth and interest to the neutral background colours.
