In 1998 Kashuu was given the title of Master and the following year, she was awarded the highest title of Professor by the Japan Calligraphy Foundation and given the calligrapher’s name Kashuu(佳萩). Kashuu translates broadly as a gracious, but strong flower blooming in the wild mountain. Kashuu creates her own calligraphic artworks that convey ideas of Zen philosophy - the essence of peace.
