In this session we explore Design for Wellbeing, why it matters and how to integrate it into Interior Design and Architecture. Introducing two key concepts: User Profiles and Design Characteristics, and essential foundations for wellbeing-focused design.

SPEAKER DETAILS

Elina Grigoriou, FRSA HonRICS
Elina Grigoriou is a London-based interior designer, sustainability specialist, and wellbeing expert, and co-founder of Grigoriou Interiors, one of the UK’s leading design and sustainability studios. For over two decades, she has shaped the commercial interior design sector by creating spaces that unlock social and environmental value while enhancing clients’ business performance. She works closely with national and global institutions to advance best practice in sustainable and wellbeing design, and played a key role in developing the SKArating system, where she now serves as director and chair. Recognised with Honorary Membership of the RICS in 2017, Elina has contributed to numerous industry standards on sustainability, Net Zero, circularity, and wellbeing, and is a sought-after speaker and thought leader. Her book Wellbeing in Interiors (RIBA, 2019) has significantly influenced practice and inspired the industry.
