Event date

Learn how to get your work noticed and published in the press in this practical and inspirational workshop

If you’ve ever wondered the best way to get your work noticed and published in the press, this practical and inspirational workshop will provide invaluable insider tips.

In Part 1, we’ll look at assessing the publication market and pinpointing how to identify the right feature options for you and your project.

In Part 2, we’ll focus on pitching, including what images and information to send, what editors are looking for, how to make your submission stand out in a fresh way, and what happens next after a publication says Yes.

In Part 3, we’ll investigate additional options including collaborating with photographers and freelance writers, putting work with photo agencies, building a profile to get you noticed, plus Q & A.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • how to assess which publications to approach, and the importance of identifying a match between your project and the publication

  • an understanding of what editors look for in a pitch-worthy house
