Winter Olympia Art & Antiques Fair
The Winter Olympia Art & Antiques Fair is soon to take place this November and is a major event for designers, discerning collectors and enthusiasts.
Over 120 dealers will showcase a wide array of objects and works of art, ranging from classic British design to rare pieces from around the world, every one of which will be vetted by an independent team of experts for authenticity, date and condition.
The fair also coincides with Asian Art in London and will host, in addition to its regular programme of talks and specialist tours, two Asian focused lectures; one by Jessica Harrison-Hall of the British Museum on Ming: Beyond Porcelain and the other by Arthur Millner a specialist and writer in Islamic art on Mamluk and Ottoman Tiles from Damascus (1400-1800).
Other talks include “A Victorian Obsession” that will explore the curation aspects of A Victorian Obsession, for the forthcoming exhibition at Leighton House which will showcase the largest private collection of Victorian art outside the UK and The BADA “Lecture: Over the Top? The Image of War” which will demonstrate that the great art commissioning schemes of the World Wars were a symbol of civilised values, producing an extraordinary range of visual art styles and forms. In addition, independent art consultant Vanessa Curry offers a series of highlight tours of the fair.
