AI Foundations for Interior Designers: Working Confidently from First Principles
AI made approachable for interior designers.
AI isn’t just for tech professionals. It’s a powerful ally for interior designers who want to work more efficiently, creatively, and confidently.
New to AI or unsure where to begin? This introductory, design-specific session explains artificial intelligence from first principles and shows how interior designers can use it responsibly as a studio thinking partner to improve efficiency, communication, and marketing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Participants will gain:
- A clear understanding of what AI is (and is not) in practical studio terms
- Awareness of ethical and professional considerations (confidentiality, data protection, responsible use)
- Confidence to begin experimenting safely
- Practical examples of early-stage applications in communication, admin, and marketing
WHAT YOU WILL LEAVE WITH
A structured prompt guide to continue learning independently.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This workshop is ideal for interior designers who are:
- Interior designers with little or no hands-on experience of AI
- Designers curious but hesitant to begin
- Studio owners wanting a clear, structured introduction before experimenting
Not suitable for designers already using AI regularly in studio workflows.
