It’s a rare and happy occurrence to be hired by a client whose love for bold colours matches ours, so we were thrilled to discover that the owners of this Georgian terraced house had a real sense of adventure when it came to colour.

Though traditional tiles were applied in the entrance, from there we already have a glimpse of the daring stair runner which connects all stories. The dining area, being in the basement and in need of being brightened, was a perfect candidate for the use of mustard in a natural fibre wallpaper, but when the client suggested the bed be upholstered in a stunning hand-dyed red velvet, we took it as a challenge to make a mostly red bedroom a soothing and timeless space.

The scope of works included converting an old fashioned en-suite into shower-room and dressing area, redesigning the master bedroom, and giving a face-lift to the entry, stairs, dining area and study with bespoke storage solutions as needed.
