GREAT Weeks Mexico: Join the Interiors, Design & Art Mission in October 2014

Part of the GREAT Week campaign, GREAT Week Mexico is a trade mission from the UK for the Design, Interior Architecture and Art sectors.

The mission is organised by UK Trade & Investment in collaboration with industry experts. Attendees will benefit from gaining access to key decision-makers, major buyers and potential partners in Mexico. The mission will allow UK companies to build long term relationships and engage in high-level discussions, as well as have the opportunity to sell work directly to buyers.

The opportunities

• Leading art platforms such as the Affordable Art Fair, Design Week Mexico, Kurimanzutto Gallery (ranked Top 20 worldwide, according to Flash Art Magazine), offer the best art and design shows in Latin America.

• Mexico is the top Creative Economy in Latin America based on its creative exports (source UNCTAD).

• According to ProMexico, Mexico’s trade agency, the creative industries rank 5th amongst the country’s strategic sectors with Design the most important component, accounting for 73% of the industry.

• Mexico’s National Council for Culture and the Arts (Conaculta) registered 1,168 museums in 2012, compared to 2007, due to an increase in the development of the arts sector promotion.
