Having been designed some 15 years previously by architects KSR, we were invited back to work together on refreshing the entrance lobby to this residential apartment block. We created a new lighting scheme and the long curved walls were treated with a specialist crackle glaze finish punctuated by niches for art and planting. We re-imagined the original planting that ran along the opposite wall as uplit giant bamboo stalks, which create dramatic shadowing on walls and ceiling, the whole interspersed with faux planting and contemporary sculpture on a base of pebbles.  A simple but sustainable and elegant design solution.
