That's A'Moire!

A Hollywood regency and 80s mix-master interior for a London duplex within an Edwardian fire station conversion.

On the border of Victoria and St James's in Westminster, a restored Edwardian fire station has been transformed into a Grade II listed boutique development. Studio L London acted as creative director and designed the interiors for three showcase residences, including this 1,400 sq ft three-bedroom duplex in "Station House," tucked into the residents' courtyard.

The interior design transformed a low-light floor plan into something desirable — highlighting the apartment's privacy and quiet by creating a luxurious, dramatic atmosphere that beckons exploration. Drawing on Slim Aarons' photograph "Joan Collins Relaxes" and a decadent moiré fabric from Dedar, the interiors blend 1980s Palm Beach energy with 1950s Hollywood Regency glamour. The result: striking, unconventional, richly curated.
