A 6,000 sq ft new build in one of Tunbridge Wells’s most sought-after locations, mothballed for six months with a disengaged project manager. The client called Kate on the strength of her management consultancy background. She facilitated a planning session mapping every trade and dependency until the route to completion was visible to everyone in the room — and was then asked back to lead the full interior design. The design keyword was fun: bespoke cherub wallpaper on a decorative plasterwork ceiling, tigers and unicorns for the children’s rooms, and a cloakroom of neon octopus wallpaper, fuchsia woodwork and a gold ceiling. Fourteen months from that first session to a finished, fully furnished home.
