Wealden Hall House, Kent
The owners of this Grade II Listed Medieval Kent Hall House, which they have had for several years, were still not entirely clear on how to best use each of the downstairs rooms. They called on us to firstly help them allocate a purpose for each space. We did this by rigorously checking and understanding what the needs of the family are, and what functions are required, whether it was a place to keep books, a space to work, a TV free zone to socialise or a quiet spot to curl up and watch a movie.
Once we secured the correct furniture layout, we were then able to design bespoke joinery and reconfigure the lighting plan. We had 'carte blanche' to source all new furniture, lighting and window treatments.
The house is now comfortable and functional as it is beautiful, which is why at the beginning of every project we embark on, we always start off by carefully thinking about how the space is going to be used.
