This project was a complete refurbishment of a penthouse apartment in the West End of London. The apartment was taken back to the shell, underfloor heating, polished plaster walls, wood floors with bronze inlay trim, and special finishes. The drawing room has bespoke bookcases made from walnut and ebony. It was important to show the mix of contemporary and 20th century furniture and artifacts with an early 18th-century portrait. The master bathroom walls have a polished plaster with acid effect finish, bespoke cabinetry in macassar ebony and an insert corner lighting in the shower. The kitchen is central to the entertaining area, with bespoke kitchen units painted in a dark grey, an Esse oven and a champagne fridge in the island. A large bookcase was required for the client's collection of cook books. The shower room had a beautiful marble shower surround, bespoke cabinetry, mirror with walnut and sycamore frame. The marble alcove was designed to place an antique buddha.
