Open plan living area. The outside and indoor greenery came to life when brightening the furnishings on the inside. The sofa cover had been navy blue. and the woodwork had been Wenge. I retained the same flooring as client had put down 14 years before as it was great in good condition, hard wearing and was neutral in colour. There were more still available luckily to fit where there were missing and damaged tiles for the newly reconfigured kitchen and island. I illuminated all the shelving to bring to life.
Bespoke Kitchen made of walnut and lava stone top, dull-gold guilded kick-plate/plinth. The 2 strong colours that I used here on the back wall of the kitchen only were a pale Terracotta- also seen on an outside wall in the garden and a deep Red seen in the adjacent TV and Games room.
I retained the clients B+B Italia bed. I added the recessed bookshelves, added wall reading lights, and added the dressing room area behind. Luxurious quilted velvet bedcover adorns the bed.
Continuing the modern Oriental style I had a very talented friend of mine paint the portrait of the Chinese Gentleman, I retained the clients bath and their floor tiles, adding a few where needed and within the new configured shower area. The walls of the shower were finished in Tadelakt, the same colour as the main wall colour and the fittings were all Stainless steel.
A stunning tobacco coloured silk papered dining room with ebonised dining table and chair frames. Chairs were covered in a burnt orange modern 2 tone corduroy fabric.
The chandelier was of blackened steel chain. The bookcase was existing and I just illuminated it and resprayed and levelled the shelves.
The original scheme here in this TV and Games room always had the curtains closed when it was a white painted room. I used this opportunity to create a naturally darker room I chose the linen curtain fabric to absolutely match in tone and hue to the deep Red gloss painted walls.
Giant deep sofas were in a natural linen colour with olive velvet cushions. I had the rug bespokely coloured to suit the Olive velvet and natural linen colour on the sofa
