Biophilic Design Conference
The Journal of Biophilic Design is running the first ever Biophilic Design Conference
Biophilic design is flourishing right now across all sectors from schools to hospital design, urban planning to house building, and everything in between.
The conference will bring together decision makers working on all sides of the built environment from design to specification, supply chain and materials, to landowners and investors, interior designers, architects, workplace and business consultants, psychologists, planners, ecologists, landscape architects. It will also bring together those who benefit from Biophilic Design, including the NHS, Department of Education, UK Parliament, leading Blue Chip business, mental health advocacy bodies.
Each session of the conference will embrace three main threads: people, planet and economy across Healthcare, Education, Workplace, Sensory Design, Future Biophilic Cities, Future Homes, Materials, Sustainability, Supply Chain, Wellbeing, Net Zero, Economics of Biophilic Design and more.
Attendees will also be entitled to a FREE copy of the new "Science Informed Guide to Biophilic Design” written specifically for the conference by our very own design neuroscientist Dr Sally Augustin.
Evening Reception
From 6.30pm until 10pm - Conference attendees will be joined by a gathering of leaders, MPs, Lords and stakeholders for an evening celebration, drinks, canapes, music, a guest celebrity and world premiere of The Biophilic Suite, which we commissioned specifically for the occasion and inspired by nature and the Barbican.
Exhibition
In the Garden Room, we are inviting just 12 carefully curated exhibitors at the show. From plants and materials to furniture and innovative Biophilic Design solutions, you will be inspired by the passions of our exhibitors.
