Inside Knowledge conference 2026 & Annual General Meeting (AGM)

BIID are delighted to announce the 2026 Inside Knowledge Conference. This member only peer-to-peer knowledge sharing event is an opportunity to ask other designers everything you want to know about fees, marketing and working with clients.

Come prepared to share best practice and learn from others working in the industry. This event allows members to talk in confidence about concerns and support each other to thrive in the industry.

This afternoon event is available free of charge to BIID professional level members. It will offer themed tables where attendees will discuss previously selected topics in a focused, professional setting.

Whether you are an employee of a large multinational company or a sole practitioner who runs your own business, an early career professional new to the industry or someone with decades of practice under your belt, you will have something to share and something to learn. Places are strictly limited so please book ASAP!

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY

1.45pm to 2.15pm - Registration and welcome from BIID President Liz Bell
2.15pm to 2.45pm - Session 1: Marketing with relevant sub topics
2.50pm to 3.20pm - Session 2: Fees with relevant sub topics
3.25pm to 4.00pm - Session 3: Working with clients with relevant sub topics
4.00pm to 4.30pm - Refreshments
4.30pm to 5.30pm - Annual General Meeting, including presentation of the CPD Award & Merit Award
5.30pm to 6.30pm - Drinks reception

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Inside Knowledge (taking place from 1.45pm to 4.00pm) is a member event exclusively open to Registered Interior Designers, Associates, Provisional Associates, Dual Members and employees of Registered Design Practices. 

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

Inside Knowledge will be immediately followed by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the BIID, held in the same venue.

The agenda and supporting documentation will be circulated to all members in advance of the meeting. Information about candidates standing for election to Council and voting instructions will be sent to BIID Registered Interior Designers in advance of the meeting. This event is open to all members of the BIID and employees of BIID Registered Design Practices.

Please note: All professional members who register to attend Inside Knowledge will be automatically registered to attend the AGM. 

If you are an Affiliate, Retired or Student member of the BIID, you are not eligible to attend the Inside Knowledge portion of the event, but you will be able to join us from 4.00pm for the AGM. If you would like to attend the AGM please email info@biid.org.uk to RSVP.
