Northern Design Awards 2014
The BIID is once again supporting the Northern Design Awards, now in
its 12th year and in a new location. Described as a "who's who'" of the
North's design industry, interior designers, architects, retailers and
trade are counting down to the awards which take place the 21st
November.
Due to the popularity of last year's event, which was attended by over 350 people, the awards this year have moved to a top secret location, with brand-new award categories.
In addition, Cheshire-based BIID Member Fiona Watkins
will be a member of the judging panel for 2014. Fiona has worked in
interior design for more than fourteen years. A background of working in
hotels gave her a sense of how to combine elegance and luxury with
scale, which she’s transferred to her projects in private homes.
Having
previously lived in Holland, Fiona brings a flavour of cutting-edge
European design to her work, while as a member of the Historic Houses
Association, she’s just at home working in traditional period settings.
