Speedy Rendering for Interior Designers

Sharpen your skills and learn how to confidently hand render sketches and floorplans. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is a practical workshop to give practicing interior designers confidence in creating rendered sketches in order to communicate quickly and easily with clients, colleagues, architects and contractors, ideas, furniture, details and room scenes.

Programme

  • 11.00am - Introduction to the tutor and the course
  • 11.05am - Theory of light and shadow
  • 11.45am - Short video on rendering techniques
  • 11.55am - Introduction to different rendering techniques and materials
  • 12.30pm - Coffee break
  • 12.40pm - Practical assignment rendering pre-drawn floorplans
  • 2.00pm - End      

WHAT YOU WILL LEAVE WITH

Confidence to quickly create free hand rendered sketches using colour pencils and pro markers. 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Course Level : Participants should have basic technical drawing skills and be familiar with creating floor plans, elevations and sections.

Materials, please bring:

  • An A4 and an A3 sketch book
  • pens: 0.3, 0.5 and 1
  • drawing pencils: 2H and 2B
  • 30 cm ruler
  • 45 and 30/60 degrees set squares
  • scale ruler
  • Colour pencils and Pro Markers (some will be provided)
  • Copies of your own floor plan to practice with the different techniques

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Born and raised in Torre Annunziata in south of Italy, Gianfrancesco De Falco attended his hometown Liceo Classico “Benedetto Croce”, a scientific and humanistic school that proposes Latin, Ancient Greek, Italian, History and Philosophy as principal subjects. After five years of intense study, he enrolled at the University of Naples, Federico II, where he graduated in Architecture. Upon graduation, he was awarded a Certificate of Accreditation as a Teacher in Design and History of Arts in Higher Education in Italy and the Qualified Teaching Status in UK.

During his time at University, he focused his work on Product Design and in particular, Ready Made, participating with his works in various International exhibitions. He has a unique 25 years background in Interior Architecture and Design on international residential projects and 15 years of Interior Design teaching. He currently lives and work as Interior Architect and Interior Design Teacher in London.
