Date Published: 05/11/2020

Learn how interior designers can be thought leaders and affect change in the industry’s campaign to deliver ethical and sustainable interiors for a healthier and happier future.

What is ethical luxury and how do you achieve it? Join BIID members and professional interior designers, Dee Gibson, Harriet Forde, Henry Prideaux and Brian Woulfe in conversation, as they each discuss their approach to ethical, sustainable design, and how this ethos has permeated their whole practice.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In our discussion we will be asking our panel the following types of questions as they detail how they met their sustainability goals through four unique projects

  • In an ideal world, a design project would run in a circular economy, so how do you start a project and inject these principles?
  • How do you measure the ethical/sustainable aspects in your projects?
  • Re-defining luxury to be something positive associated with ethical production and mindful/conscious design is a difficult challenge, how have you dealt with your high-end clients to achieve your goals? Has there been any pushback?
  • What are your top tips to deliver, source and educate for a sustainable and ethical luxury interior?
