BIID 50th Anniversary Party

Thursday, 26th November 2015 saw the BIID celebrate its 50th Anniversary in a fabulous and music filled party, held at Surface Battersea and Pedini London. The two showrooms, which are adjoined, provided the perfect setting for a party of well over 200 designers, who danced their way through floor fillers from the 60s to the present day.

BIID President Dan Hopwood gave a rousing speech congratulating the Institute on its 50 years of representation for the interior design industry, before also congratulating Membership Manager, Joy Curniffe, on her 15 years of hard work for the Institute.

Surface also announced their recent merger with sister brand Domus, forming one cohesive identity for the tile, stone and wood supplier.

With a photo booth, live chef and cocktail stations, and plenty of dancing, designers from across the country (and the ages!) came to wish the Institute a very happy birthday, and a prosperous future!

The party was truly a masterclass in celebrating a 50 year milestone!
