New BIID conference celebrates design
The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) is launching an inaugural, one-day conference event called "Celebrating British Design".
"The eyes of the world will be firmly focused on Britain in 2012 thanks
to the Olympics, Paralympics and the Golden Jubilee," said BIID
president, Diana Yakeley. “In this celebration year, the BIID believes
it is entirely appropriate that we honour this country’s excellence in
the field of design. ‘Celebrating British Design’ will provide us with
just that platform and recognise the varied and enduring contribution to
the spatial designs that we create for our clients in residential,
commercial, public and hospitality projects.”
