Iris Ceramica Group Announced As Platinum Partner
The BIID are delighted to introduce you to our new Platinum Partner.
Iris Cermamica Group introduce themselves, their ethos and their new London showroom.
Iris Ceramica Group is a Platinum Partner of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID). The new partnership bears witness to their commitment to achieving common objectives by designing spaces that pay attention to the needs of people and the environment.
With over 60 years of business experience, Iris Ceramica Group is a world-wide leader in the design and development of high-end natural ceramic surfaces for innovative solutions and architecture projects. The Group’s vocation is to re-engineer ceramics in order to improve quality of life and its aim is to optimise the interaction between humans and the environment they live in through this material, one of the world’s most noble and high-performing ones.
Sustainability, innovation and excellence in quality are the values guiding the Group and its Brands, which are renowned among the most important Italian manufacturers on the international scene. Among the most prestigious in the design and architecture field are Ariostea, Fiandre Architectural Surfaces, FMG - Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti and Iris Ceramica, Porcelaingres , SapienStone, Seventyonepercent and Stonepeak.
The Group’s values find concrete expression in the new ICG Gallery London, which opened during the Clerkenwell Design Week showing its brand-new look and evolving into a contemporary art gallery, becoming immersive, interactive, technological and engaging. The renovated space is in the creative heart of the city and is much more than a Showroom for high-end natural ceramic surfaces: it is a place where you can tangibly and virtually experience the Group’s materials and values. Visiting the new ICG Gallery is the perfect opportunity for taking a sensory journey, a continuous mix of the real and the virtual, discovering different architectural interpretations and points of view each time. The new ICG Gallery in London is much more than an exhibition of surfaces, it is a concrete expression of the values guiding the Group.
The exteriors of the ICG Gallery are already an immersive experience: the movement of the passers-by is a stroll through a virtual rain that turns into clean energy. On the ground floor, visitors cross a world created with augmented reality, discovering for themselves the benefits of the eco-active Active Surfaces®. The upper floor is the realm of the Material Gallery, a space to enter in a journey through matter, for playing with the surfaces, creating moodboards, combinations, compositions and experimenting new forms of application. In the Comfort Lounge (level -1) visitors enter into the depth of technological research, the Group’s distinguishing feature.
In line with the dynamic spirit of the district, the ICG Gallery has been designed as a space that fosters creativity, networking and cooperation; a genuine point of reference for the community which revolves around the world of architecture and design in London.
