London design festival 2013

London Design Festival is upon us once more, and the Institute has again teamed up with the leading shows including Decorex, 100% Design and Design Junction.

Don’t miss the BIID panel on Innovation - The Lifeblood of Design on Friday 20th September at 12.15pm at 100% Design featuring Mary Fox Linton, Linda Morey-Smith and Giles Miller and hosted by Kate Burnette.

Join us at Design Junction on Saturday 21st September for “Creative Luxe.” In today’s economic and social climate, is it time to abandon luxury in design? Watch industry leaders including BIID President Sue Timney debate at 4.00pm.

BIID will be ever present at Decorex this year with our annual breakfast in the morning kindly hosted by Textiles Scotland at 10.00am followed by The Light Box: Andreas Von Einsiedel in Conversation with Sue Timney at 11am on Sunday 22nd September. BIID President Sue Timney and BIID Honorary Fellow Andreas Von Einsiedel will take to the stage to discuss his lengthy career photographing amazing interiors around the world.

Later in the afternoon, head over to the Design Club, Chelsea Harbour for Luxury Meets Modernism: Mary Fox Linton on her Life, Style and Inspiration as part of Focus/13, followed by tea in the Design Club. Don’t miss this exclusive event at 3.00pm on Sunday 22nd September.
