Jack Trench Bespoke Kitchens & Furniture

Telephone: 020 8885 6444
Profile:
Jack Trench creates award-winning bespoke kitchens and beautifully crafted fine furniture. We offer a completely personalised service from concept, planning and design through to manufacture, installation and aftercare. Our design-led approach places a strong emphasis on clear lines of communication throughout the design, manufacture and fitting process. Alongside a portfolio of our own bespoke kitchen and furniture designs, we also work with architects and interior designers to develop custom bespoke creations, a process that often involves researching the latest materials and specially sourced timbers as well as the development of original design detailing and exploration of innovative fabrication methods.

From our factory and studio in North London, a team of designers, cabinet makers and site fitters is dedicated to delivering bespoke kitchens and furniture commissions of the very highest quality. Everything we do is driven by an unwavering commitment to exceptional design, meticulous detailing and superb craftsmanship. Founder and director Jack Trench trained in industrial design and worked at an architectural practice before setting up the company in 2003. Since then we have maintained our ethos of delivering thoughtfully designed bespoke kitchens and furniture, growing from a small workshop before moving to our current premises, where we have now been based since 2006. In 2015, we opened our very first showroom in Islington and in June 2017 we made the move to our present showroom in Clerkenwell.

We offer a collection of JT Designs, which perfectly encapsulates the clean lines, tactile aesthetic and contemporary detailing of our handmade bespoke kitchens. In the Classic in Corian® and Shell in Corian®, we have created two impeccably modern styles crafted from one of world’s finest solid surface materials. The Mid–Century is our homage to British modernism while Richlite offers a dramatic palette of midnight blue and intense black that complements warm-toned timbers such as walnut, cherry and oak. An architect’s favourite, Ply Original combines classic utilitarian appeal with the craftsmanship and precision finish that is synonymous with a Jack Trench kitchen. Each of these JT Designs - with their considered proportions, resolved detailing and innovative use of materials combined with traditional joinery techniques - can be applied to any kitchen project in a variety of materials and finishes.

Alongside the design and manufacture of bespoke kitchens, we also make superbly crafted fine furniture. Whether from our own portfolio of JT Furniture designs or as one-off commissions for commercial and private clients, each piece reflects our dedication to the art of cabinetmaking, craftmanship and excellence in furniture design. Commissioning begins with an initial concept or brief and we will work with you to evolve this into a fully resolved design while the development process often includes the drawing of hand sketches and renders, researching materials and finishes and the production of samples and prototypes. Once a fully resolved design has been reached, the studio team will produce detailed technical drawings for approval and then handover to our cabinet makers to begin manufacture.

From dispensers to hot air dryers, taps and bins to baby change units, every item we sell is intelligently designed, not just to look good but to be truly fit-for-purpose.

And then there’s our proven expertise. We’ve been working with architects, contractors and developers to create beautiful high performance commercial washrooms for nearly 20 years; and we couldn’t be more proud of what we have achieved together.
