Register Now for Grand Designs Live Birmingham: Under The Stairs Competition

The BIID has once again partnered with Grand Designs Live, to be held at NEC Birmingham on October 9th-13th. The Under the Stairs Project is running alongside the show and is a competition for Interior Designers, aiming to inspire visitors and encourage them to take home new ideas, information and supplier contacts. This competition focuses on the uplift in the use of unconventional spaces and we are inviting pioneering interior stylists to come and bring their ideas to life at the show, using colour, materials, and patterns to achieve some impressive spaces.
We encourage all designer members including students to take part in this opportunity. If you would like to find out more about getting involved in the upcoming competition for Grand Designs Live Birmingham, 9-13 October, please take a look at this year's brief. You can then register your interest to take part here. The deadline for entries is 22 July 2019.
The finalists chosen to appear at the event will dress their space with products which are easily accessible to visitors and are either in stock, or online from current British retailers, manufacturers and designers. The winner of the competition will be announced on the Grand Theatre. The judges at Grand Designs Live Birmingham will include Kevin McCloud and Jenny Gibbs from the KLC School of Design, with more to be revealed at a later date.
