Light & Living is a wholesale concept of Lightmakers B.V., which was founded more than 40 yours ago in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Originally a producer of lampshades, we know exactly what good lighting can do for a room. Today, we still make customized lampshades and limited editions by hand in our workplace in Noordwijk.
Nowadays our collection not only consists of lampshades. We offer all other kinds of decorative lighting and accessories in different styles as well. Light & Living has a fixed collection that has proven his success in the last few years. Besides that, we present a seasonal collection twice a year that will most certainly enthuse you.
Light & Living exports to over 70 countries worldwide. Besides our head office in Noordwijk, we have an office in China and the United States of America. We sell our collection in our showroom in Somercotes, Derbyshire and online, in our webshop. But you can also find us at several international fairs and Dutch cash & carries, where we present the Light & Living collection.

Artichoke was founded almost 25 years ago by Bruce Hodgson, the company’s Creative Director.
Above all, Artichoke is a bespoke kitchen and fitted furniture design business with a particular focus on large country houses. There are plenty of companies who can make furniture of great quality. There are very few with the skills and experience to design it to great quality too, particularly when period detail is concerned.  It is these design skills that our clients value most.
Our specialism in the design of bespoke kitchens and fitted furniture has also enabled us to gain a detailed knowledge of building structures and their limits.  This is vital if we are to succeed in designing furniture to fit beautifully and naturally within their fabrics. We count ourselves privileged to have designed for a fantastic variety of building types, from Grade I listed Country and London houses to modern apartments and contemporary structures across the country.
Every kitchen commission is completely bespoke, and our team of designers, cabinet-makers, project managers and fitters are all dedicated to designing and making furniture of breath-taking quality, delivered with outstanding service, discretion and integrity.
