Profile

Interior designer Nina Cooley studied at the Bath School of Art & Design and Chelsea College of Art, London. In 2018 she set up 'Room', a joint architecture and interior design studio with RIBA architect Ross Duggleby.

Established to offer collective creativity, experience and design knowledge, we work on wholly considered and bespoke residential projects for clients who seek professional guidance and beautiful design for their home.

With a fundamental belief that a deeply considered and well designed home can improve one’s life in myriad ways, we create spaces that work to make life easier, putting a client’s connection to the space they live in at the forefront

The functioning and happiness of your family

Your health and mental wellbeing

Your environmental footprint and impact on the planet around you

We consider our role as guides through a complex process which has to consider technical, regulatory and financial limitations, whilst providing a unique, considered solution. We help you realise your own vision, often in ways that you may not have imagined when you set out to create your home.

After heading up a number of bespoke projects for renowned London practices since 2011, Nina has worked closely with architects, joiners, suppliers, contractors and consultants in the full project cycle from concept to completion. In doing so, and in running Room, she has built up a deep understanding of the process of design and delivery of finished projects to a high-specification and quality with bespoke details throughout.

Nina is involved in projects across the region and of various scales. Through her work, she has developed a broad knowledge of materials, methods and products to inform her own considered style of understated, contemporary design that works.
