In this webinar, you will learn about the different kinds of interventions you can apply in your path of self-improvement. We focus on one of them - mentoring. Why it is important, what are the benefits for everyone involved, what are things you may want to focus on to be a great mentor. We will discuss why formal mentoring geared to people of marginalised groups is important. We will finish by looking at the GROW model, which is a tool often applied in mentoring, that you can use in different goal pursuits.

About the speaker
Katya is a thinker, not a clicker. She provides both a strategic overview and technical capability for BIM, so that designers can dedicate all their resources to what they do best – design. As a consultant, Katya has supported world-renowned architecture practices such as Alisson Brooks Architects and Grimshaw Architects in their endeavours to deliver competitive digital information to their clients. Katya has happily shared her experience and knowledge publicly at various events in the UK and abroad. At the start of 2019, she taught a course on the Fundamentals of BIM at Aston University and currently she is leading the Women in BIM Mentoring Scheme.
In 2019 Katya was named one of the top 4 UK Construction Week Role Models among 400 applicants. Katya dedicates a lot of her time to promote diversity in the construction industry. Some volunteer organizations she has been involved with include The Stephen Lawrence Trust, Built By Us, Architecture LGBT+ and Grimshaw LGBT+.
